Hard work is without use if what is learned is not passed down to the next generation of designers.
During my role as technical director for Frozen Kids, I embraced an educational role by mentoring an underclassman, allowing him to design the scenes while I focused on giving feedback and helping him understand the process. Our goal was to create a vibrant, colorful show that would resonate with the young actors, making the experience enjoyable and engaging for them. By guiding the student designer and fostering a collaborative environment, I ensured that the final projection design captured the magical and fun essence of Frozen, while also giving the underclassman valuable hands-on experience.
